OSC SAS “Satisfactory Audit” Achievement 2011 (SSAE16 SOC1)
The audit standards for SAS 70 were amended in 2011 and replaced with a new standard, SSAE16. Effective June 15, 2011, no certification was to be awarded to a client for SAS70, and companies were to conform to the new requirement. Our prior audits, 2008 to 2010, were SAS 70, level II category audits, for which we have consistently received satisfactory “Unqualified Opinion “ratings. A Service Auditor’s Report with an unqualified opinion, defines that no exceptions were discovered in their audit, and we operate according to set standards. This can differentiate us from our competitors by demonstrating we have established control objectives and effectively designed control activities within our daily functions and processes.
Audit results therefore have changed to SSAE16, for which we have once again received a satisfactory “Unqualified Opinion” rating for 2011, under the new standard; Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16 including the Service Organization Control (SOC) reporting framework (SOC 1, 2, 3). Based on our business type, we have been certified for SOC1.
