Happy Retirement, Debe Rodriguez!
OSC’s Debe Rodriguez, SVP of National Accounts, has retired after over three years with the company. Debe joined OSC in September 2022 as SVP of National Accounts and held that position through her retirement. Her vast industry experience and strong management and leadership skills truly served her OSC clients with excellence as she oversaw integrated lender-placed insurance programs. She was an accomplished insurance professional who held diverse leadership roles in the mortgage industry spanning insurance, tax, loan closing, and operations over her 25+ year career. “Debe made a tremendous impact in the short time she was with OSC,” said Michael Randall, EVP of Business Development and Client Services. “Her dedication to her clients was unwavering. She was detail-oriented and always focused on helping her clients. She will be missed, but we wish her the best in her well-deserved retirement.” Debe was a senior vice president insurance and tax manager at Truist, formerly SunTrust, and had worked closely with OSC as a vendor partner for over two decades. She additionally oversaw wholesale lending operations, commercial credit services, document preparation and exceptions, and corporate loan operations – serving as a manager in commercial loan operations early in her career. She has additionally worked for Bank Atlantic in commercial loan operations and as a client success manager for Lereta, a tax and flood services provider. We truly appreciate Debe and her loyalty to OSC and our customers. She will be greatly missed, but we wish her a healthy and restful retirement full of joy!

Steamboat Group Appoints Jennifer Vrooman as Compliance Manager
Steamboat Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Vrooman as Compliance Manager for Steamboat Group, OSC, and SUI. A veteran in the compliance field, Jennifer will lead the Surplus Lines Unit and other insurance compliance functions for OSC and SUI. Meeting insurance compliance obligations has always been a core focus of Steamboat and, as we continue to grow, we are committed to furthering our compliance processes, systems, team knowledge, and customer support. She will also monitor and implement the constantly changing insurance regulatory requirements, as well as managing insurance regulatory monitoring for all business units. “Jennifer brings a wealth of insurance compliance knowledge that will not only provide leadership to our Surplus Lines Unit but provide a more dedicated compliance program resource to our real estate investor insurance programs,” said Kirk Stephens, CRCM, Chief Compliance Officer. With over two decades of management experience in insurance compliance – and a decade including Surplus Lines – she has worked with state forms and filing processes while collaborating across departments, including systems, product development, legal, and direct collaboration with state insurance departments. She began her career working for ING Financial Services USA, later moving to The ACE Group as Regulatory Compliance Project Manager where she oversaw a multi-site global team to develop a companywide compliance risk assessment system, a compliance training platform, and performed underwriting compliance risk reviews. Continuing her impressive career advancement and work ethic, she later built a compliance program from the ground up for law firm Becket & Lee LLP. Most recently, Jennifer worked for Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Company, where she served as the State Filing Manager, providing overall direction and guidance for the State Filing Unit, taking full responsibility for oversight and delegation of all related work.
