July 31, 2014 – (YAHOO FINANCE) – The upcoming 19th annual Western States Loan Servicing Conference is chaired by Don Curtis, senior vice president and business solutions consultant of OSC, a Breckenridge Insurance Group company. The conference is hosted by the California Mortgage Banking Association (CMBA) of which Curtis is an active board member. His efforts have included oversight of the conference, speakers and sponsorship efforts with CMBA and its members.
The Western States Loan Servicing Conference will focus on the complexity of the mortgage servicing industry including the future of loan servicing, real estate owned (REO) properties, real estate auctions, property preservation, compliance, technology, mortgage servicing rights (MSRs) and future trends. Over 300 industry professionals are expected at the event which takes place August 3rd to 5th at the Encore in Las Vegas, Nevada. Participants include leading national mortgage servicers, auction companies and financial advisory firms specializing in the sale of performing and sub-performing residential and commercial assets and MSRs.
“We’re pleased to have the opportunity to hear from industry thought-leaders and to network among servicers and providers in this dynamic forum,” stated Curtis. “As we look to the future of mortgage servicing, it’s imperative that we stay informed and share best practices — particularly as it relates to compliance — so our industry can thrive well into the future,” he added. Curtis is familiar with the nuances of regulatory requirements as a 34-year industry veteran and executive of OSC.
